Jiang Yikang (姜异康)

Jiang Yikang (姜异康) is secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee.

Born in January 1953 in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, Jiang received a Master’s degree from Central South University, formerly known as Central South Industry University and joined the CPC in December 1970. He had served in the army and worked in a factory before being employed by the government.

Mar. 1988: Deputy Director of the Secretary Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; Executive Deputy Director and Director of the Affairs Management Bureau for Offices affiliated directly to the CPC Central Committee

July 1995: Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee

Oct. 2002 to May 2006: Vice Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee; President of the Party School of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee

June 2006: Vice President of the China National School of Administration, and Seceetary of the school’s CPC Committee

Mar. 2008: Secretary, Member, and Standing Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee

He was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently a serving member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
