Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development
Jiang Weixin, a native of Fuyu County inHeilongjiang Province, received a Bachelor’s degree from Peking University in 1974 and joined the CPC in December 1969.
He is a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
He formerly served as Deputy Director and Director of the Investment Department of the State Development Planning Commission; Executive Vice President of the Hualian Real Estate Development Company; Deputy Director of Investment Research Institute under the State Development Planning Commission(SDPC); Vice Director and Director of the Key Projects Construction Department, State Development Planning Commission; Vice Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission; Vice Minister of Construction.
He was appointed as Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction at the 1st plenary session of the 11th National People’s Congress in March 2008.
