Human Rights, the first professional journal of its kind in China, came into being on February 10, 2002.

Human Rights was published by China Human Rights Research Society with the purpose to explore human rights theories and conduct human rights dialogues through human interest stories. It serves as a window to the outside world to learn about the human rights situation in China. It has also provided an academic field to explore human rights theories and practices in the past and present in both China and other countries, and a forum to promote human rights in China and the sound development of human rights worldwide. Human Rights is a bi-monthly published in Chinese and English with columns focusing on news, human rights forum, observation and reflection, contend, global observation, human rights questions and answers, and viewpoint digest. It has great readability with the combination of academic research and information dissemination.
