Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was established in 1994, offering the largest non-governmental science and technology awards in China. The first award ceremony of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was held in Beijing on January 12, 1995. As of October 2009, about 850 excellent Chinese scholars in science and medical fields had received the honors.
