He Jiong (Chinese: 何炅) is a famous Chinese television anchorman, actor, singer and Arabic teacher at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He has been the host of “Happy Camp”, a weekly entertainment program produced by Hunan Broadcasting System, for more than 10 years. Now he is one of the most popular anchormen in China, and he has more than 9 million followers on Weibo, which is China’s equivalent of Twitter.

Born in 1974 in Changsha, Hunan Province, He was recommended for admission to the Arabic School of Beijing Foreign Studies University when he was 18.

During his university days, He hosted “Big Windmill”, a children’s program aired by China Central Television (CCTV). In 1997, he graduated from the university and became a teacher there. In 1998, he joined the “Happy Camp” crew as a host, a position he still holds.
