The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival (哈尔滨国际冰雪节)

Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is held annually from January 5 and lasts for more than one month. Starting in 1985, it has become one of the world's four major ice and snow festivals. The other three festivals are Japan's Sapporo Snow Festival, Canada's Quebec City Winter Carnival, and Norway's Ski Festival.

The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival consists of more than 100 activities, such as ice- and snow-themed tours, fireworks shows, art and book fairs, and also economic and trade talks, attracting large numbers of tourists and businesses at home and abroad.
