Zhang Xueming (1908-1983) was a famous patriot and the younger brother of General Zhang Xueliang, the leader of the Fengtian Clique of Northern Warlords.
The building is a courtyard residence built of brick and wood. The elevation of the building is symmetrical and of harmonious proportions. The external walls are of red brick and the building is finished to a high standard, with fine interior decorations.
