Sun Dianying (1885-1948) once served as the army commander of the fifth new army and commander of the third army of Kuomintang.

In June, 1928, Sun Dianying took advantage of the opportunity of garrisoning Mashen Bridge of Jixian County and dug up the graves of Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Qianlong. Sun Dianying took away all the treasures under the pretence of a military exercise.
