Feng Zikai

Feng Zikai was an outstanding Chinese painter and a pioneering Chinese cartoonist. He was born in 1898 in Shimen Town, Tongxiang County, Zhejiang Province. When he first began to paint, he studied the structure and lines of the human face and would stare at his mother so attentively that he never heard what she said to him. But his hard work paid off. He achieved great things in painting, calligraphy, prose writing, poetry, music, and architecture. He also learnt several foreign languages.
