Fan Changlong (范长龙), born in May 1947, is a male ethnic Han from Dandong, Liaoning Province. He entered the workforce in October 1968 and joined the PLA in January 1969 and the CPC in September of the same year. He received a university education at the Central Party School.

He is currently a member of the Political Bureau of theCPC Central Committee and a vice chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, vice chairman of the PRC Central Military Commission and holds the rank of a general.
