Du Qinglin
Ethnic Han, born in November 1946, native of Panshi, Jilin Province. Joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in March 1966 and began working in July 1964. Graduated from the Business School of Jilin University where he had majored in planning and administration of national economy. With a master's degree in economics.
Member of the CPC Central Committee, vice-chairman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee and member of the committee's Leading Party Members' Group, and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee.
1964-1966: Studied at the Party School of the CPC Jilin Municipal Committee in Jilin Province, member and head of the socialist education work team in Liuhe, Yongji and Shulan counties
1966-1968: Worked at the Organization Department of the CPC Jilin Municipal Committee in Jilin Province
1968-1974: Clerk of the Party Committee of the Standard Component Factory under the Changchun First Automobile Works (FAW), director of the factory's extrusion workshop and secretary of the workshop's Party Branch
1974-1978: Deputy director of the Revolutionary Committee of the FAW's Standard Component Factory, deputy director of the factory and vice secretary of the factory's Party Committee
1978-1979: Secretary of the Jilin Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) in Jilin Province
1979-1984: Vice secretary and secretary of the CYLC Jilin Provincial Committee (During the period: 1981-1984 Studied at the Political Education Department of the Northeast China Normal University)
1984-1985: Vice secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee in Jilin Province
