Built in 1860, the Dom Pedro V Theater on St. Augustine's Square in Macau is reputed the first Western-style theater in China. As a cultural landmark of the Macau community, it is used for important public events and celebrations till today.
In the neo-classical style, the floor plan of the theater has a lobby area, a small ballroom, and a circular auditorium with a stage and long corridors on both sides.
