Daming Lake

Reputed as a pearl of Jinan, the city of springs, Daming Lake covers an area of 46 hectares. With some 800 weeping willows standing along the shores, over 40 mu of the lake is planted with lotuses. Emerald-green lotus leaves, lotus flowers with delicate fragrance, fish swimming in the lake and birds hovering in the sky—all this makes a superb fascinating picture of the lake.
The Daming Lake was turned into a garden in 1985 with numerous tourist spots, including pavilions, rockeries, bridges and corridors, as well as a tasteful layout and a large number of valuable stone carvings left from the various dynasties.
