Reputed as a pearl of Jinan, the city of springs, Daming Lake (http://www.chinaculture.org/gb/en_travel/2003-09/24/content_34199.htm) covers an area of 46 hectares. With some 800 weeping willows standing along the shores, over 40 mu of the lake is planted with lotuses. Emerald-green lotus leaves, lotus flowers with delicate fragrance, fish swimming in the lake and birds hovering in the sky—all this makes a superb fascinating picture of the lake.

The Daming Lake was turned into a garden in 1985 with numerous tourist spots, including pavilions, rockeries, bridges and corridors, as well as a tasteful layout and a large number of valuable stone carvings left from the various dynasties.
