The Chinese Museum of Women and Children, the first of its kind in China, opened to the public on January 10, 2010 in Beijing.

The museum covers an area of 35,000 square meters and comprises 11 exhibition halls containing more than 30,000 exhibits depicting ancient, modern and contemporary women, celebrating international friendship and women's art, and showing changes and contrasts through the ages in women's apparel. Museum exhibits also include children in ancient, modern and contemporary times, their toys and pastimes.
