China Silk Museum (http://www.chinasilkmuseum.com/) stands in front of the Lotus Peak at the foot of Jade Emperor Hill. Opened to the public in 1992, it features China's silk production with a history of over 5,000 years.

The museum has a displaying floor space of 10,000 sq. m, divided into eight halls, including the silk cultural relics hall, the silkworm breeding and mulberry growing hall, the silk printing and dyeing hall, the modern achievement hall and the folk custom hall.

Exhibits on display include unearthed silk fabrics dating back to the New Stone Age through the Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties as well as the best products from different parts of China. The museum also recorded the time-honored history of Silk Road across the desert, by land and on the sea. Tools and machines related with the entire production process from silkworm breeding, reeling, spinning, weaving, and printing to dyeing.
