On January 4, 1979, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection held its first plenary session. The session discussed and agreed a series of rules governing Communist Party of China political life.
The Regulations of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on Work Tasks, Authority Spheres and Structure Establishment, and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection First Plenary Session Announcement were all passed.
