Liang Sicheng (Chinese: 梁思成, 1901-1972) was a noted Chinese architect, who used to propose for the protection of old buildings in Beijing some 50 years ago. However, the proposal was vetoed. And 50 years later, his courtyard home was demolished. (More...)
