The doubled income growth plan (收入倍增计划) was first proposed in a report given by Hu Jintao to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in November 2012. The Chinese government should double its 2010 GDP and per capita income for both urban and rural residents by 2020 on the basis of making China's development more balanced, coordinated and sustainable, according to Hu's report.(More)
