Ye Mengyuan (叶梦圆), a 16-year-old girl from Jiangshan Middle School in Jiangshan, east China's Zhejiang Province, was killed in the Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 crash at the San Francisco International Airport on July 6, 2013.

Ye, one of the three victims of the air crash, was killed after being run over by a fire vehicle that was racing to the wreckage, authorities confirmed on July 19, 2013. Ye died of blunt force trauma as a result of being hit by a rescue truck, confirmed San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault.

A total of 141 Chinese were among the 291 passengers aboard when the plane coming from Seoul and bound for San Francisco crashed while landing.

Among the 141 Chinese citizens, Ye and Wang Linjia, both 16, were thrown from the plane and pronounced dead on the day of the accident. Liu Yipeng, 15, died on June 12 at the San Francisco General Hospital where she had been in a critical condition since the accident. The other 138 Chinese passengers are safe.

The three killed teenagers were schoolmates, and Ye and Wang were best friends. They were on their way, with a group of 35 Chinese students and teachers, to attend an English summer camp in the United States.
