Sang Lan (桑兰) was a member of the Chinese national women's gymnastics team. She fell heavily onto the floor due to a faulty move in the vaulting horse competition at the 4th Goodwill Games in New York, July 1998. Her cervical spinal cord was severely injured and her body was completely paralyzed below the chest. (More...)
