Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon

1980: International Monetary Fund (IMF) resumed China's membership in IMF.

1998: Chinese scientists confirmed the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is the deepest canyon in the world, reaching depths of 5382 meters.
