Wang Junxia (王军霞) won a gold medal in the women's 5,000 meter race and a silver medal in the women's 10,000 meter race at the Atlanta Olympic Games on July 28, 1996, to become China's first athlete to win two medals in the track events at the same Olympic Games. Wang was dubbed the "Oriental Deer.”
