Jiang Yikang (姜异康) is secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee.
Born in January 1953 in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, Jiang received a Master’s degree from Central South University, formerly known as Central South Industry University. He joined the CPC in December 1970. He had served in the army and worked in a factory before being employed by the government.
In March 1988, Jiang served as Deputy Director of the Secretary Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Executive Deputy Director and Director of the Affairs Management Bureau for Offices affiliated directly to the CPC Central Committee
In July 1995, he was Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee
From October 2002 to May 2006, he was Vice Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and President of the Party School of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee
In June 2006, he was Vice President of the China National School of Administration, and Secretary of the school’s CPC Committee
In March 2008, he was Secretary, Member, and Standing Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee
Jiang was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently a serving member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
