Beidou

The Beidou Navigation Satellite System (北斗卫星导航系统) is a global navigation satellite system developed by China.

The system is composed of three parts: The space section, the ground section and the users’ section. In the system, a total of five geostationary orbit satellites and 30-non geostationary orbit satellites operate in space. Meanwhile, a certain number of stations, including the main control stations and the monitoring stations, operate from the ground.
