Chinese pianist Lang Lang (郎朗) was appointed United Nations Messenger of Peace on October 28, 2013, with a special focus on global education. Lang gave a piano performance as UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon listened during the designating ceremony at the UN headquarters in New York. Lang is currently the youngest member among all the UN Messengers of Peace. (More...)
