Zhuang Xiaoyan defeated five rivals in the women's over-72kg weight division judo event at the 25th Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 to win a gold medal. She was the only judo gold medal winner with five straight victories at the Barcelona Games and China's first Olympic judo champion.
