China completed its first all-Chinese robot, Yegang No. 1 Robot on December 18, 1987, in Beijing. Robot-checkers verified the robot to be completely domestically made. China had previously built more than 100 robots that introduced control technologies and mechanical parts but still included parts made in other countries.
