The [[Yanqi Lake]] ('''雁栖湖'''), which literally means the lake where wild geese take a rest, is a picturesque water park situated at the foot of the [[Great Wall]] 50 kilometers northeast from downtown [[Beijing]]. <br />

The lake is nestled against mountains on three sides with its water surface mirroring the blue sky, offering a fantastic view and a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of city life. <br />

Every year in spring and autumn, flocks of wild geese migrate to the lake, hence the name Geese Lake. The scenic spot was added into [[China]]'s AAAA national tourism destination list in 2000.<br />
