<p><b>New page</b></p><div>[[Liang Qichao]] originated '''''Xinmin Biweekly''''' in Yokohama, Japan on [[February 8]], 1902, with himself as the Editor-in-Chief, and [[Han Wenju]], [[Jiang Zhiyou]], [[Ma Junwu]] and others contributing articles. At the beginning, the newspaper focused on introducing Western bourgeois society and political science, disseminating information on reforms, criticizing the Qing Administration headed by [[Dowager Cixi]], and promoting new literary style. The publication was well received for its explicit and fluent writing, vivid expression and sharp style. Later, when the revolution was in full swing, the publication supported the imperial system and opposed the bourgeois national revolution led by [[Sun Yat-sen]]. A total of 96 issues had been published when it stopped publication in 1907.<br />
