Born in [[Harbin]] in 1939, Li was enrolled to vocal music school of Central Conservatory of Music. In 1963 he was a solo actor of Cultural Workgroup in Xinjiang Military District of the Chinese People's Liberation Army ([[PLA]]). In 1973 he was a solo actor of the Song-and-Dance Troupe of the General Political Department of PLA. And then ranked as a civilian general, he taught in the vocal music school of PLA Art Academy.&lt;br /&gt;

Li's representative works include &amp;quot;Red Star Lights My Way to the Battlefield&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Riding a Horse with Gun to Walk Throughout the World&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Ode to Beijing&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Boatmen's Labor Songs&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Goodbye, Mother!&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;I Love Wutzu Mountain, I Love Wanquan River&amp;quot; and so on. His famous publication is &amp;quot;The Collected Works of Li Shuangjiang&amp;quot;. He was given the Lifetime Achievements Award by Chinese American Association.&lt;br /&gt;
