Started to be built in the mid-15th century, it gradually reached its present scale in the mid-18th century. Covering an area of 16,800 sq. m, the mosque is composed of a worship hall, a lecture hall, a gallery, an arched gateway and other auxiliary structures. The main hall can hold 4,000 worshipers at one time. The 12-m-high arched gateway is flanked by two 18-m-tall brick minarets with bright colored designs.
