Covering an area of about 17,160 sq. m, they include six folk residences, one ancestral temple and one pavilion. They were built by [[Huizhou]] architects in strict accordance with the local customs passing downfrom the Song (960-1279), Yuan (1271-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) periods.&lt;br /&gt;
