The lakeside [[Yueyang Tower]] is one of the three famous towers south of the [[Yangtze River]]. The main tower has flying eave and helmet roof with wood construction in unique style. There is an island in the lake, named "Junshan," where in the legend two wives of [[Shun Di Emperor]] in ancient times, [[Ehuang]] and [[Nuying]], died to be goddess of [[Xiangjiang River]] after searching thousands of miles for their husband. The vast lake, the famous burly tower, the mysterious island and the legend, all make the Lake a popular site in all decades. Furthermore, the widely known eternal sentence of “Be the first to worry about the troubles across the land, the last to enjoy universal happiness" is also out from ''[[A Panegyric of the Yueyang Tower]]'', written by [[Fan Zhongyan]] more than 900 year ago.
