During the late years of the [[Qing Dynasty]], [[Dongjiaominxiang]] was a zone specially for foreigners and almost all foreign embassies located here. St. Michael's Church was specially built for foreigners residing there. In a typically Gothic style, it has three main peaked spires and several spire ornaments beautifully complimenting each other.&lt;br /&gt;
