The construction of the '''Century Park''' is [[Pudong]]'s response to the call for more green space. There is a large, tranquil lake in the park and a few man-made hills here and there, making the Park the only place in [[Shanghai]] with hills. Now those hills are covered with trees, as is the entire park. The park is designed successfully as a proper combination of Eastern and Western cultures featuring harmony between man and nature.

There are seven large scenic areas, including a pastoral area, a sightseeing area, a bird-protecting Area, an international garden area, a mini golf court, in addition to music fountains, a century flower clock, and the Green World Relief Sculpture, which is regarded as the symbol of the entire Park.

The park is connected to the well-known Century Square by a path.
