The '''former Residence of Mei Lanfang''' (renowned Peking Opera star), located on No. 9 Huguosi Street in the West City District, was originally part of [[Prince Qing's Mansion]]. In 1965 Mr. Mei's wife donated her husband's collection of art works and materials to the country. In 1984, the Society for the Study of [[Mei Lanfang]] was established and his former residence turned into a museum, one of the historical and cultural sites under the state protection.
