New page

Located in Baishanzu Township, Qingyuan County, the '''Baishanzu National Nature Reserve''' boasts a wide range of bioresources and diverse vegetation. These plus its peculiar geographical environment and complicated landforms form its unique natural scenery. There are a dozen or so scenic areas, with a tourist lodge and an ecological tour center in its hinterland. It still maintains large tracts of primitive forest ecosystems and large quantities of wild biospecies. Among these is the "Baishanzu fir," a tree native to Baishanzu and listed by an international committee for species protection as one of 12 critically endangered plants.
